Recently, the Ministry of Science and Technology organized an exhibition at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center to showcase the scientific and technological achievements of the National 863 Program's semiconductor lighting major projects during the 11th Five Year Plan period, comprehensively showcasing the achievements and technological innovation achievements of the 863 Program's semiconductor lighting major projects. Vice Minister of Science and Technology Cao Jianlin personally visited the exhibition for inspection.
At the invitation of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the 863 Program project "Application Research of Semiconductor Lighting Sources in Plant Tissue Culture" undertaken by the College of Agriculture, Nanjing Agricultural University attended the exhibition. The series of research achievements showcased by Nanjing Agricultural University, including "LED plant tissue culture lamp", "LED plant lamp", "LED intelligent biological incubator", and "LED plant cultivation intelligent light control system", have received widespread attention from the industry.
In the National 863 High tech Research Program during the Eleventh Five Year Plan period, the Ministry of Science and Technology innovatively initiated the research process of LED application in the agricultural field. After competitive defense, Nanjing Agricultural University successfully obtained the approval and funding for the 863 project, which is the only agricultural lighting project approved by the state during the Eleventh Five Year Plan period. Based on more than 5 years of accumulated achievements and the characteristics of the tissue culture room, the project team has developed an LED tissue culture lamp by optimizing spectral energy parameters, manufacturing processes, and exterior design, which has the characteristics of high efficiency, energy conservation, long lifespan, and convenient installation. Compared with fluorescent lamps, using LED tissue culture lamps can enhance the quality of seedlings, increase the rate of high-quality seedlings, shorten the seedling period, and reduce energy consumption costs; Increase lifespan by 10 times; Energy saving of 69.7%; The initial investment can be recovered within 1.5 years without the need for later investment; During the lifespan, a total of 176764 yuan can be saved in expenses; The height of the tissue culture rack is reduced by 35%, improving operational comfort and work efficiency; The space utilization rate has increased by 35%.
