The emergence of LED has broken the traditional design methods and ideas of light sources, and there are two latest design concepts.
Lighting unit
1. Luminous flux:
The energy radiated by a light source into the surrounding space per unit time and causing visual effects is called luminous flux, which is measured by Φ Represented in lumens (Lm).
2. Light intensity:
The luminous flux radiated per unit solid angle by a light source in a specific direction is called the luminous intensity of the light source in that direction, abbreviated as luminous intensity. Represented by symbol I, unit candela (Cd), I= Φ/ W.
3. Illumination:
The luminous flux received per unit surface area is called illuminance, expressed as E, in units of lux (Lx), E= Φ/ S
4. Brightness:
The luminous intensity per unit projected area of a luminous body in a given direction is called brightness, expressed in L, in candela per square meter (Cd/m).
5. Color temperature:
When the color emitted by a light source is the same as the color emitted by a blackbody heated to a certain temperature, it is called the color temperature of the light source, abbreviated as color temperature.
The direct conversion relationship of LED lighting unit price
The illuminance of a uniform distribution of light flux of 1 lux=1 lumen over an area of 1 square meter
1 lumen=the luminous flux emitted by a point light source with a luminous intensity of 1 candle per unit solid angle
1 lux=illumination generated by a point light source with a luminous intensity of 1 candle on a sphere with a radius of 1 meter
